This double live album catches Texas singer-songwriter Townes Van Zandt in a series of July 1973 performances at Houston’s Old Quarter. The venue is intimate, and the performance is heartbreakingly good, including covers of Bo Diddley, Lightnin’ Hopkins, and country picker Merle Travis. This one features some of Towne’s most famous works, including a gentle reading of “Pancho And Lefty.”
