The Commodores peaked in the late ’70s to the mid-’80s with hits like “Just To Be Close To You,” “Easy,” “Three Times A Lady and “Brick House.” This greatest hits release contains all the classics, plus fan favorites and other tracks. With their brass musicians and co-lead singer Lionel Richie, they reached fame with their first R&B #1 “Slippery When Wet.” They racked up seven #1 songs and a host of Top 10 Billboard hits. Lionel Richie left the band in 1982 to pursue a solo career.
