With Out of Service,\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e every album has a unique story\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e.  When Teebs and Mike began writing songs for what would become\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003ereflections \u0026amp; refractions volume one\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e, they weren’t sure if the songs would be released as Out of Service, a side project, or at all. In March of 2020, they started putting together songs that varied in style in an acoustic format. Mike and Teebs then presented the tracks to the rest of the band. Brian and Kenny agreed that these songs were \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eessential to the Out of Service narrative\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e, so they all hauled up and tracked the album over 3 months at\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003ePerkins Center for the Arts\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e- a building that is over 100 years old.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eThe entire record was tracked in the living room of the building using the wooden floors to capture their reflective and refractive sound\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e.  What came out were\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e 11 songs\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e that\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e felt extremely fresh\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e while also \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003ecapturing the essence of Out of Service in an acoustic format\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e.  The songs tackle a wide range of lyrical narratives including isolation, depression, social justice, and love.
