Tour, along with bandmates Kevin Black (bassist), Robbie Crowell (keyboardist), Laur Joamets (guitarist) and Miles Miller (drummer).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eWhile promoting his fifth album, \u003ci\u003eThe Ballad Of Dood \u0026amp; Juanita\u003c\/i\u003e, in 2021, Simpson told \u003ci\u003eRolling Stone\u003c\/i\u003e magazine that he wanted to release only five albums of original material. Releasing this new album as Johnny Blue Skies allows him to keep that promise while still pleasing his fans.
