George Michael was at the height of his solo career when this album was recorded from the FM broadcast of a 1988 concert in France. His debut solo album, Faith, had been released in 1987 and featured the controversial hit single, “I Want Your Sex.” He went on to win Best British Male Solo Artist at the 1988 Brit Awards and received a Grammy for Album of the Year in 1989.
