After 20+ years in the major label system, Death Cab For Cutie returns to their indie roots — signing with ANTI- Records and releasing their 11th album, I Built You A Tower. The album is the sound of loss, compartmentalization, and then grief bursting out from the seams. It’s also the sound of the growth that comes after falling apart, of acknowledging pain without letting it destroy you.
