Following on the heels of their wildly successful Green River and Willy And The Poor Boys releases, CCR’s first album of the ’70s serves up a swirling gumbo — from haunting swamp rock (“Run Through The Jungle”) to soulful ballads (“Long As I Can See The Light”) and radio-friendly rockers (“Up Around The Bend”). In between are some well-imagined covers from Roy Orbison, Elvis and Bo Diddley.
