Portrait In Jazz was Bill Evans’ third album as a leader and the first with bassist Scott LaFaro. Recorded in New York in 1959, this one was a true trio project (there are no solo piano selections). The guys churn through some very influential interpretations of standards, including “Someday My Prince Will Come” and “Come Rain Or Come Shine.”
