Released in 2022, Un Verano Sin Ti is Bad Bunny’s fourth solo studio album, and fifth overall. Un Verano Sin Ti focuses on summers in Puerto Rico, complete with crashing waves, breezy palm trees and seagulls calling interlaced on most of the 23 tracks. Seemingly crafted at the beach, Bad Bunny said the album “reflects all of my summers growing up.”
The project brings edgy EDM beats, hard-hitting perreos, and tons of Caribbean flavors: bomba, merengue, afrobeat, reggae, dembow. And the lyrics lean toward love, heartbreak, empowerment, and human rights.
Un Verano Sin Ti debuted atop the US Billboard 200, marking Bad Bunny’s second #1 album and the second all-Spanish language album to top the chart. At the 23rd Annual Latin Grammy Awards, Un Verano Sin Ti won Best Urban Music Album, while at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, it became the first Spanish-language album to earn a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year.
